15 Month Check Up

Tyler went for his 15 month check up... a little late but only by a couple of weeks. He got two shots, one in his arm and one in his leg. He won't need any more shots until he's 4! Woo-Hoo!! It wasn't the best experience in the world, but certainly not the worst either. We had been running errands most the morning and he's getting to the point where he's ready to drop his morning nap. So when I tried to put him to sleep after lunch and make sure he was well rested for his appointment I was sure we'd be fine, BUT he didn't take a nap! The baby room was crazy and there were too many fussy babies for him to get to sleep so we went into the doctor's office at 1 with zero naps for the day. He was doing good until he spotted the outlets in the exam room that didn't have covers on them and got ticked off when I wouldn't let him stick his fingers in them. Granted the outlets had a pretty green dot on them that made them even more enticing than normal. Either way we survived and got a clean bill of health. He's walking and running and has a very good vocabulary for his age. He weighed in at 27 pounds and 3 oz and was off the charts in his height at 34 inches! Fortunately for both of us he fell asleep in the car before we were even out of the parking lot and slept for a good hour and half.

i loved it when charlotte moved to one nap per day. she wasn't ready for 1 nap until almost 18 months:(

hehe, it would be so cute to see charlotte and tyler side by side now that they are the same size!! they're only 6 months apart, which is nothing when they get older, but wow he's growing big fast?!!?

i wonder if jude will have the snowbarger "big boy" genes?? he's got to, right?

don't you love this stage he's at?!?! 15-18 months is when you really get true glimpses of their personalities. ~Amanda

He still isn't convinced that one nap is enough, he has his sleepy days where he still requires two naps in order to get his beauty sleep!

It is amazing what a big difference 6 months can make when they are young and how once they reach 3 or 4 you can hardly tell there's an age gap.

I think Tyler's personality has been coming out just as fast as he's been growing, he's quite the little man and completely full of himself. He keeps us laughing though. I'm sure Jude will be a chunk too, you can't be a Snowbarger boy and be small, that's just not natural!
