The Crib is HERE!

Work Begins!

I've been constantly checking my e-mail to see if the confirmation for the crib had come all this week. Today, right before we were about to leave to get a movie and my vitamins, it appeared! Of course we had to leave instantly, get my vitamins, and pick out a movie at light speed so we could get the crib. As soon as we got it home it was construction time. It was a little bit confusing and took about an hour for us to get it together but it's beautiful! As you can see in the pictures we are lacking a mattress! But it makes a nice place to store all the diapers we've been collecting over the past few months. Just wanted to put up some pictures to share with everyone!

It's DONE!

I'm giving up...

Saint's Fan attire, there was more but my stomach wasn't big enough!

"My Dad is the MAN" shirt

6 Months and Counting!

I figure I might as well go ahead and post a pregnant picture! We had a VERY busy weekend and had lots of pictures taken. We went to Alexandria for Josh's family reunion and also to my dad's and then his parents house for Father's Day. The reunion was very nice and we didn't get too lost getting there. We got to see all of his aunts, uncles, and cousins, and other people that I'm probably forgetting! We really don't get to see them very much, so it was nice to meet a lot of his family for the first time and visit with those who I'd met a few times before. Fathers day at my dad's was fun. Josh and I spent the night there on Saturday and stayed up way past our bed time (11:00pm) then slept in to make up for it! For lunch, the whole gang was there and we went swimming and barbecued. Then we headed home and to his parents house to meet the newest edition to the Snowbarger family, Charlotte. She was absolutely precious and very full of herself. She laughed and cooed and just acted like she was carrying on a conversation with you. Kristen gave Josh some really cute clothes for Tyler for Father's Day. He will be all decked out and ready for football season now! It was a very fun weekend, but there was a ton of driving!! I'm so ready to get into bed and get some sleep!

Yay!

It's a good day! I ordered my crib and it should be here in 7-10 days. It's so pretty and it converts to a toddler bed and a full size bed. Once its here then Josh can go ahead and stain the changing table and I can start actually putting stuff in it, instead of on top of it! Cross your fingers that the crib is in one piece. I've heard horror stories about shipping, but it's getting shipped directly to the store so that will make it easier to return if any pieces are damaged. I also had my glucose test this morning to check for gestational diabetes. I had to fast last night and this morning, then drink some orange flavored syrup! The whole thing wasn't too unpleasant, aside from the 3 attempts at poking a hole in my arm to take blood and being really really hungry! I think my veins are made of titanium or something. Giving blood is always ridiculously hard! I needed my blood sugar to be under 140 one hour after drinking the orange stuff and it was right at 136, the nurse said it was my lucky day and that I could go! woo-hoo!

Dr. Appt

We had our monthly check up and Tyler is doing great. They did an ultrasound to get better pictures of his face/lip to double check that he didn't have a cleft lip. It looks like he actually has lips, so there is a good chance that he will get his dad's nice full lips instead of my non existent ones! He was very uncooperative at the appointment though. He wouldn't move or turn his head so that we could see him. He was head down and feet up, basically laying diagonally in order to get as much room to stretch out as he possibly could. The tech gave him a good shaking and gave me a stomach ache, but he still didn't move around. He was completely out! Not a morning person obviously. He gets it honest though. He is about 1lb 8 oz now and measuring just a couple days ahead of his due date. I certainly don't mind him coming a little early!

I had to open my big mouth and ask the doctor about gaining weight. I'd done so well up until this past month. I just popped overnight seems like. He told me to make sure that I don't gain too much that I should lay off the carbs. Which is basically the end of the world for me, haha. Most people already know that I have ridiculously picky taste and potatoes were my one true love. So looks like I'm going to have to start getting creative in order to stay on track with my diet. Josh and I did have one last carb loaded meal at IHOP for breakfast, it was SOOO good.

Wish me luck on my new eating habits! I'm going to need it! haha

Random...

The good news is the sink and Josh's truck are completely healed and I'm pretty close to being over this cold! yay for antibiotics! I did manage to find a swim suit that is cute considering how much fabric is involved in making it. I think I might go swim today with Kristen and maybe Kellie, so if we do then I'll get one of them to take a picture so everyone can see how beautiful and preggo I've become. (haha)

I was getting concerned about gaining weight, it seems like all the sudden the scale tipped on me. Then I realized that I'm not teaching anymore and running around after 20 kiddo's all day was probably keeping my behind in shape! So I resolved to do more walking and Josh copied an exercise video from a friend of ours. He had a game last night, so while I was unsupervised I gave it a try. Working out has never been so difficult before in my life! Denise Austin and her pregnancy work out kicked my behind... and Tyler's too. It was really nice to stretch and move around though. I celebrated my accomplishment by cutting up a watermelon and eating a good bit of it while putting it up to store in the fridge.

I think I've decided on a pediatrician. The clinic that just opened down the street is another branch to one that is in Baker. It also happens to be the same one that I used as a kid. I need to call and confirm with them, but Tyler and I might have the same doctor. He was always really good when we were sick and I've known him a while, so I think I'm going to give him a shot. There are still a few things to figure out, but I think I'd be happy with him. They also have internal medicine at the same office so Josh and I could go there too. He's been wanting to change his doc and I haven't had one since we got married because of the insurance change, so it would work out nicely.

Well, I need to call Kristen and see if she is awake, we have a cake to bake. Trust me, you don't want to know! Then if the weather cooperates then we're heading for the pool!
