He has a lot of his Daddy in him from what I can tell so far! These are pictures from when Josh was first born and I think I was a month or so old in mine.

BATH TIME!

Tyler really doesn't like getting a bath... he's much more interested in napping and eating at this point! He has taken two baths since he's been home and didn't particularly enjoy either. We made sure to take a few pictures in between his fussing.

We have been doing really well. We had to change his formula that we are supplementing him with and he had a much better night last night then the one before. He slept from 8-12, 1-4, and then 5-9!! We were so excited and he rested very well. Not to mention that we got over 8 hours of sleep!! Hopefully he's got his days and night straight and will keep up this pattern. We figured out that if we can wake him up to eat before he realizes that he's hungry, then he will sleep through his feeding, burping, AND diaper changes and get right back to bed! woo -hoo! He's such a big boy, he already in his crib. We tried the bassinet the first night and he only slept in it for an hour before he woke up and wanted to held and eat. So after a lot of rocking and some feeding we laid him in the crib and he slept for 4 hours. So needless to say, he's a crib sleeper now and usually just naps in his bassinet during the day. Cross your fingers for us and hope that he keeps this up!

Tyler is quite the popular little man, he's had all sorts of people coming by to hold and spoil him!

Update and Heading Home Soon!

We have been having a wonderful time with Tyler! The slide show below has some pictures of his visitors, there are still a lot more to load but I'm still working on mastering these slide shows! Tyler has been doing really well, he's doing all the things that babies do best... eating, sleeping, and pooping! Josh has gotten to practice changing dirty diapers and feeding him. We are set to go home today after Tyler gets his circumcision. It will be so NICE to go home and rest in our own bed and to be able to move around freely. I will probably get another slide show up pretty soon of the rest of his visitors and possibly some home coming pictures! Thanks for all the support and concern, we really appreciate it!

Long arms!

After over 15 hours of labor Tyler finally decided to make his entry into the world. He was born at 6:33 p.m. 9-25-07, he was 7lbs 15oz's and 21 cm long. Here are a few pictures, we'll post more tomorrow. Time for sleep now!

Maternity Room Update

Hey everyone... this is Kristen, Josh's sister. I've been put in charge of updating the blog today. It's now 12:21. Jessica is about 4 cm dilated right now. Dr. Kleinpeter told us that things should start to speed up a little bit now. I'll update the blog more through out the day!

Here's a picture of the parents to be taken at about 12:30 pm... They've now been here for 9 1/2 hours with no sleep last night.

So all of the bags are packed, the bassinet is ready and stocked with diapers in our room, the crib and the rocking chair are complete, and the changing table in the nursery (and the pack n play in the living room) is fully stocked. If we don't have it done at this point... then it really just isn't going to get done! I'm going to do some last minute vacuuming and mopping tomorrow, but other than that we are ready to go! This has been the official weekend of nesting and after a few stressful trips to walmart and the baby store everything is organized and sanitized to my crazy pregnant lady standards. haha Poor Josh has been nesting right along with me, he did some work outside and did a lot of rearranging and moving of stuff inside too. I'm pretty happy with everything that we accomplished and just have a few loose ends to tie up at this point. I'm hoping that I will be able to get some sleep between now and Tuesday morning. Between the excitement, nerves, and bathroom breaks at night... it's been difficult to sleep for more than an hour or so straight. Mother nature has a way of preparing us for the road ahead! If only she would take some pity on me at this point and let me get some rest while I still can!! We will try and keep everyone posted on our progress with the delivery and get some pictures posted as soon as we can so everyone can see Tyler Hunt!

Dr. Appt and Shower

Well I had my last baby shower this past weekend. Mrs. Kay and Kristen gave us a shower on Saturday. Josh's Aunts and cousins came down along with my sister and my friend Jennifer. Tyler once again racked up! I have some pictures from the games and gifts but they aren't on my computer yet... so hopefully I will get them posted later! We had a very nice time and once again everyone over estimated the size of my belly in the string game! I'm not sure if I look bigger than I am or if I just have had some bad measuring friends and family... I'd like to blame it on them!

I had my last doctors appointment today! I had to see a different doctor because mine is out on vacation, and I wasn't exactly crazy about her. She was nice and all, but she just wasn't my typical happy care free surfer dude kinda doctor, haha. I don't have anymore weekly check ups... because on Tuesday the 25th we are being induced and Tyler is set to make his appearance. We go in VERY early on Tuesday morning to get the party started, but judging by the fact that I haven't dilated anymore and he hasn't shown any other signs of departure, it should take a while to send me into full blown labor! Either way, it is nice to have a date officially set and to know that in one week we will finally get to meet him. Hopefully I will get everything finished up by next Tuesday, but then again whatever I don't finish will definitely be waiting on me when I get home. I'll finalize all my washing and cleaning hopefully this weekend though, so we can come home and sleep as much as possible... yeah right! That's all the updates for now, wish us luck and keep us in your thoughts, we have a big week ahead of us!

Update!

Well obviously I'm not in labor! haha Most people have heard by now that I'm going to have to try and wait it out until my doctor gets back into town. Tyler still hasn't dropped, so doc Kleinpeter didn't feel comfortable taking him yet. I know that it's for the best, but geeze I wish that bugger would've come down! ha! Everything else looked good, and he said that he will induce me when he gets back into town, which will be either the 25th or 26th. We will most likely opt for the 26th since it's a Wednesday and it works best with Josh and his schedule for work. I really kind of hope that I don't make it that long, I feel like I'm huge at this point and everything is getting less and less comfortable... not to mention some of my maternity clothes are getting snug! Oh well, at the absolute longest we only have two more weeks until we finally get to meet Tyler... so there is a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Okay, so I had my 37 week check up today and things haven't progressed any. I'm still 2 cm and Tyler is still pretty high up. I didn't expect to go into labor yet by any means, but I was hoping for a little bit more progress. My weight stayed the same this week, so that's good and hopefully I'm starting to level out in preparation for delivery. The good or possibly bad news is that my doctor is going out of town for a week and half next Thursday, so I have to go in early next week and see if I've made any progress. Here is where the good or bad comes in... if I have made progress then he will go ahead and induce me most likely to make sure that he is able to deliver Tyler, the bad would be that I haven't made any progress and I would hopefully just not go any farther until he comes back into town!! ugh I'm really hoping that he will go ahead and induce me next week, it would be oh so nice to have a date when we could just go in and have him and I wouldn't have to worry about being home alone with a 3 month old while Josh is across town working and going into labor spontaneously. So in the mean time I'll be doing squats and lunges and stretches of all sorts to try and urge him to drop on down and get things moving in the right direction. I can't imagine having someone else deliver him after being with my doctor for so long. Everyone think positive baby dropping thoughts for us and cross your fingers that we will have a new member of the family next week!
