Not much

There isn't a whole lot to update. I'm still trying to get rid of this cold, blah! I took some sudafed and it didn't do a thing, so I tried mucinex and it just made all the nastiness move to my nose and throat instead of my chest. Needless to say I gave up and got my doctor to call in an antibiotic. It's one of those wonderful three day packs so I don't have to take it very long and hopefully I won't have to worry about what ever kind of infection this is coming back! My nausea hasn't been too bad since I started taking the mucinex, but it's been really difficult swallowing my vitamins at night.... which makes keeping supper where it should be nearly impossible! I'm also fairly sure that the antibiotic that I'm taking contains something evil that can't stay in my stomach for more than two hours. Hopefully it's getting soaked up fast enough to do something before it leaves me!

Aside from all the really fun side effects of making a baby I have started to expand some. The fun part about this is that I get to buy some new clothes! I had a JcPenny's gift card left over from christmas and ordered some stuff online with it. I have shirts that I can still wear, and lucky for me the empire waist with the flowy bottom is in style for normal clothes! So I ordered some more capri pants, since mine refused to button, a shirt, and some really cute jeans. Kristen and I were looking at swim suits online... and let me just tell you that it's a really scary business! I don't understand for the life of me why they insist on putting large knots in between the boobs and putting polka dots or horizontal stripes on things!! It's going to be an interesting summer! haha Speaking of, we're going to the beach this coming weekend so I really need to go try on my old swim suits and see what I'll actually be able to wear, EEK!!

Baby beats...

Well we managed to get the baby's heartbeat recorded and posted onto the site. If you look to the right there is a link that says "Listen to snowbaby heart beat." If you click on it, it will open up a new window where the sound is saved. Once the new page is up it should start to play. It isn't very long, but its pretty cool. Happy listening!

Return of the...

I certainly hope that I'm wrong, but it seems like my morning sickness it trying to come back!! I'm pretty sure that this cold (the THIRD one I've gotten since January) that is trying to get me is to blame. I was sneezing and congested yesterday morning, and felt kind of nauseated all day. My throat was sore last night and my head was hurting so I took some sudafed in hopes that would get rid of it. This morning I was feeling yucky so I was in a serious search for some food. Of COURSE the blueberry yogurt was in the back of the box and while I was trying to find it my gag reflex got the better of me. Fortunatly is was just my gag reflex and I managed to find my yogurt just in time! I can NOT get sick again, when I get sick I get nauseated! I've actually gained two pounds now... can't get nauseated all the time again or else I'll end up loosing back down to my original weight! Blah blah... well I'm done complaining now!

Other more positive news, is that Josh has figured out how to record the heartbeat using the doppler. So I'm going to attempt to put it up on here somehow. I've also had a couple of random people ask if I was pregnant. One of the teachers at school found me out and was brave enough to ask... it's kind of funny to wait and see actually says something and who just looks at you weird. The checkout girl at Walmart didn't actually ask if I was pregnant she just said some thing like " aw you're pregnant..." I'm sure that the pack of diapers we bought might have given us away a bit, but it's still pretty cool for someone to notice. If you're wondering about the diapers, I really want to buy baby stuff but since we don't know what it is yet, we're buying different size diapers and stocking up on them while we can. Once we find out the sex I'll prob abandon diaper buying and go straight for nusery stuff and clothes!

I need to get up and call Kristin, we have a hot date at the Blackwater conservation area to go walking!

Breakfast....

What does a girl have to do around here to get a blueberry toaster strudel?!? It always seems to work out that I always want to eat what we don't have. In my defense, I was sure that we had one left before I decided that was what I wanted! I think Josh secretly ate it, but he says that he didn't. haha I had to make due with some girl scout cookies instead, need to go and get dressed.... going shopping with Mrs. Kay and Melissa. I'll have to resist the urge to buy baby stuff, only a couple more weeks until we can find out the sex! yay! Then I get to start picking out stuff and filling up registries!

Welcome...

This is the first official "blog" for our little snow~baby. The baby is due September 26th. I'm officially three months pregnant and starting to really be able to enjoy eating again! The first couple months really weren't bad, but there was about a week or so in there where I didn't want to eat or even look at food! Despite my morning sickness the baby has been doing great. We've had a ton of ultrasounds, six or seven I believe. That child already has a picture book going! My sister says that it's going to be a ham just like me, but I'm going to blame it on Josh. There were a couple of weeks when we shouldn't have even had ultrasounds done, but the baby made quite certain that it would get it's picture taken! At least it isn't camera shy... which hopefully will come in handy when it's time to figure out the sex. The ultrasound technician at the last appointment said that her best guess at this point was a girl. We won't really know for sure until 16-20 weeks, but it's nice to have some idea going into it. I'll see if I can figure this thing out and post a couple of the recent ultrasound pictures. We also got a handheld doppler so that we can hear the heartbeat. I was so spoiled by going to the doctor every week after all the fertility stuff, that I was worried about going a whole month without seeing or hearing something from the baby. Needless to say there was a doppler on my doorstep two days after the idea popped into my head and we've been listening to 170 bpm ever since. The funny thing is that I have the hardest time finding it! Josh, on the other hand, can usually just put it on my stomach and finds it instantly. He says that they "have a connection," I won't argue that though. Our next appointment is April 4th... it can't get here fast enough!
