When it rains, it pours!

People have always said that bad things come in three's. I guess we got all three in the past week. We have a leak in the sink... where basically the entire bottom part of the drain some how managed to disintegrate. There is also a leak in Josh's truck... sigh, which means that he's taken my car because he couldn't get it fixed last night. He did figure out what was wrong with it though and just needs to replace the water pump when he gets home today. Last but not least, my cold has returned. Which also means that the slight feeling of nausea is also back. Mucus and pregnancy just do not seem to get along as far as I'm concerned. My vitamin gagged me last night and I thought Tyler was going to come up with it. He didn't appreciate it either, he rolled around and kicked... or maybe he was just trying to find a safe spot and something to hold on to! The positive side of all this is that the sink will be an easy fix and all we need is a section of pipe and it shouldn't be too expensive either! Josh's truck as least waited until I was finished with school to break down and we can easily get by on one vehicle right now. I can't seem to find anything positive about this fricken cold though, it also waited until I was done with school... but it's still miserable!

Okay well, enough whining for now. I'm going to try and find a good pediatrician thats close to home. We met a few at baby grand, but they were all across town. I would like to find someone close to home for those times when it's 4:30 and he gets sick and we can actually make it there before they close at 5. There is a new clinic that just opened thats literally five minutes away, so I'm going to call and see if they are taking new patients and try and meet with them. They also do internal medicine, and we need a family doctor for me and Josh, so it would work out great if we could all go to the same office at least. I'm also on the look out for a "cute" maternity swim suit haha, due to Tyler's recent growth spurt (I'm blaming him for my gaining 5 lbs over night practically) I'm certain that my suits from last year simply won't cut it at a family water park for my nephews birthday. Wish me luck!

I'm going to go get some raisin bran, haven't had breakfast yet and Tyler actually woke me up this morning with all his kicking and jumping around. I'm assuming that he's hungry cause he's still at it!

Busy Baby

Tyler has gotten a lot more active in the past week or so! I still only really feel him when I'm sitting or resting. Occasionally when I'm moving around too much or try to pick something up that I shouldn't, he makes sure that I remember he's in there and shouldn't do that!! He really kicks around at night when I lay down, about the time I'm getting comfortable and relaxing he gives me some good night kickin'. It's enough for Josh to have been able to feel him. He's only felt him once or twice though, his attention span isn't long enough to wait around for him to move.

The past week has been crazy! I've been packing up my room, my ENTIRE room, at school. Since the school is being rezoned and clustered everything must be packed, labeled, and moved! Ugh! The kids watched movies today since most of their toys had been put away in boxes. Last weekend we celebrated Mothers Day with my mom on Saturday and then Josh's mom on Sunday. I actually got a few Mommy to be cards, so that was fun. Josh smoked a really really good pork roast for his moms house. It was mostly gone that same day that he made it, only had enough to for one serving of left overs! This weekend we are going to Baby Grand and hopefully will get some free stuff, or at least get an idea of a pediatrician that we might be interested in using. They have tours and classes and all that too, so it should be a long and eventful day!

Gotta go figure out what we are having for supper!

Dr. Appt and other stuff

Cute little feet! The arrow is pointing to the "boy parts"

Profile view, looks like he's sucking his thumb

We had our 20 week ultrasound and check up today! The ultra sound tech said that he got an A+ on anatomy and that everything looked perfect. He was pretty lazy for the ultrasound and she had to poke at him a little bit in order to get him to prove once again that he was a boy! The doctor said that he is about 12 oz right now and right one schedule. He's actually three days ahead by his measurements, so maybe he'll make his debut a little early! We have another appointment in a month and they want to do another ultrasound to get a better look at his face. He wasn't in a very good position when she was checking for cleft lip, so he gets his picture taken yet again! They said it wasn't anything that looked abnormal from what they could tell, but that they couldn't get a good enough view in the pictures that he saw. So far I've racked up 7lbs and Doc Kleinpeter said that I just needed to keep doing what I'm doing, so that's easy enough!

We did splurge after the appointment and indulge in some pancakes at IHOP. They were yummy! We tried to go and register at Target since people are getting restless and needing to shop BUT they just got new scanners and they weren't working right!! So we just went to Babies R Us and registered for most of our stuff there. I already had some big stuff on a registry at Walmart so we really needed a bunch of little things. The play yard, crib, high chair, car seat, and swing are at Walmart... I'm pretty sure... and a lot of the basic necessities are on the babies r us one! Either way I think we've got everything just about covered at this point! We got a little carried away with a few things that we really don't "need" but thought were cool and figured that if someone felt the urge to buy it, then yippee! I didn't put things like shampoo and diapers and wipes on there because I figured they were pretty much a given at most showers and for baby gifts anyways! I only put a some basic onsies and sleepers on there for clothes because we are supposed to be getting some hand me downs from a friend of ours. I've had enough action for one day though!! I have to head to school around 3:30 for a baby shower that they are giving me an another girl who is pregnant. So that should be fun, but I'm going to try and squeeze in a nap between now and then!

Nursery in progress...

Here are a few pictures of the nursery, the only furniture we have so far is an unfinished changing table. It's beautiful though! I can't wait for Josh to stain it so that I can start filling it up! We have to order the crib so that we can match the stains up before we can finish it. Then again we have to find some money to order the crib so we can match the stain. It's a never ending process! We DO have LOTS of clothes as you can see, and some cute rugs that will match the crib set that Mrs. Kay is making for us, and beautiful new wood floors that Josh fought with for a while! It's very slowly coming together, but I think it's cute so far. The walls are my project from last summer when I was real bored. It isn't really finished, but I have another few months to get it together! The changing table! With piggy bank, diaper bag, Mr. Monkeypants, and Luau Larry

Imagine a glider rocker here... or maybe baby swing... or toy box... or something!!
The crib will go here!
Oh boy, do we have clothes!! Very cute clothes too!
