This past week has been pretty busy! We did our tour of the labor and delivery areas at the hospital and got some general information about the hospital procedures and all that good stuff. Our other class on Labor and Delivery was pretty good too. They updated the videos (thank goodness) and the new ones are far less graphic than the old ones that they were using. We also got lots of tips for during labor and what to expect at each point/stage of labor, delivery, and recovery. Our last class was today at 1:30... or so I thought!! It actually started at 12:30 but we didn't figure that out until we were at the doorway of the conference center and saw the sign that said the times!! So being the good parents-to-be that we are, we took an information packet and left!! I may call and see if we can go to a later class, since we goofed on this one, but at least we have all the reading material! Oh well, I'm sure all the important stuff will be in the packet and then told to us by our doctor/pediatrician when the time is right.
Aside from my pregnant brain problems, we went and took maternity pictures at a friend of ours house last night. They are starting a photography business that does infants, babies, and maternity pictures and needed a pregnant person to be their guinea pig to help build their portfolio, so I took the job! They also had two babies there as well and now I really can't wait to have Tyler so we can go and do newborn pictures! I didn't get to see the pictures of me and Josh because they have to edit them and all that good stuff, but as soon as they are posted I'll put up a link and anyone interested can go check them out. It was a lot of fun, I felt a little silly with my belly poking out, but I'm sure I'll appreciate having them to look back on.
I suppose that since we are skipping our baby care class I might as well make myself useful and do some work around the house!!

Baby Shower!
Today we had my baby shower! My sisters threw me a shower today and we had a blast. I think that getting ready for the shower was almost as much fun as the actual shower was. Between trying to get everything ready and decorating and getting food to come out right and everything else we were all just about ready for a nap by the time people started showing up. All the decorations were so cute and the food and cake and everything was delicious. I wanted to post some pictures of the table and all that, but I think that my sister has all those pictures on her camera!! I'm going to try and get a hold of them to post them on here soon.
A good many people came and I'm actually glad that everyone we had invited didn't show up because I have no idea where we would have put them! Between the 9o something degree weather and all the people my poor air conditioner couldn't even keep up... of course the one day that I have a houseful of people it doesn't rain and cool things off! During the shower we played a few different games and I was utterly insulted by the results of the string game! haha Everyone but my three year old nephew, Hunter thought that my belly was much bigger than it actually was, Leeann was the closest to my real size though. After all the games were finished I opened presents, presents, and more presents. Tyler is already rotten! He got his mattress, sheets, blankets, mobile, swing, tub, towels and tons of other stuff that he still needed!
It's late and I don't feel like figuring out how to turn this picture the right way, but it's a really awesome swing from my sisters!!

Yay for car seats!
Another big purchase has been knocked off the list! Yay! My maw maw gave us some money to get a car seat for Tyler. So I started doing some research and looking around all over the place. I took Josh shopping with me on Sunday to a couple stores, my sister got drug to a couple places on Monday, and today his sister got kidnapped and taken all over town! I finally had decided on a seat that was what I wanted to get for the best price, and of course it rang up $20 more expensive then it should have. So I didn't get it and went home to just order one off the internet... well by the time you factor in shipping charges it was really a better deal to just go ahead and pay the extra $20 for the car seat that I had originally decided on. I didn't really want to have to go back in there to buy it though, so dear daddy-to-be got nominated for the job while I sat in the car! I told him which one to get and gave him the money and sent him in after the seat. After some serious bar code checking. climbing of ladders, and opening of three boxes to make sure that everything was included he went to the check out counter and they told him that the seat was $30 more expensive instead of the $20 that they had told me. The poor cashier made a comment that someone was in there earlier that day with the exact same problem "imagine that." I don't know exactly what went on (because I was still in the car) but I was told that the bar codes ended up matching with the sale price and we managed to get the seat on sale for the lesser price. Go Josh!!
After all that adventure, we got home and I had to play with it and read the manual and everything. Then I wanted to put it in the back seat to make sure that it fit level and secure and that there was enough room for it. It went in pretty easily, it took a good bit of strength to get the latch system tight enough, we probably shouldn't leave it in there until Tyler gets here, but it's just in there so darn good now! Hate to mess up a good thing!

Dr. Appt and FLORIDA!
I had an appointment on Tuesday. Everything went really well. I didn't gain any weight this past month. Doctor Kleinpeter gave me a high five when he told me, so I'm assuming it's a good thing! As long as Tyler is growing, it doesn't seem to matter if I grow a whole lot or not. I am now 28 weeks and start having my appointments every two weeks instead of every month. I have a feeling that time is going to fly from here on out.
After the appointment I loaded up with Jennifer and headed for Florida! The lady that I've sat with for the past 5 years or so and her family are staying in Florida for a week and invited us to come up and stay. Since I'm not really working all that much and I have a serious weak spot for the beach, I couldn't turn down the invite... and Jennifer was nice enough to wait around for me to finish my appointment so that we could ride together. On the way, we stopped and visited my Nanaw and ate some junk food! It was a long and rainy ride, but luckily the weather cleared up once we arrived.
It's now Wednesday night, and after one full day at the beach, I am exhausted! The water was pretty rough, but so much fun. The kids were so cute playing in the waves. Tyler got really active in the water and has remained active for the rest of the day. He's taking a liking to my rib's lately and it really feels like he's playing the xylophone on them sometimes. I'm guessing from all the activity, he loves the beach as much as Josh and I do.
Speaking of Josh, he's home alone. He wanted to come up for a couple days, but he's being responsible and saving up his days for September, when Tyler makes his debut. Florida isn't the same without him. I'm really missing him when Tyler gets all crazy. Normally, when Tyler starts playing kick ball with my organs, I would get Josh to put his hand on my stomach. For some reason when he puts his hand on him, he freezes and behaves... when I put my hand on him, he just kicks at it! Figures I guess! Well thats all for now!! I'm going to bed!
