This is Tyler's second Christmas, but its the first time he's really been able to open his own presents and get into the spirit of things! My Dad and Stepmom came by and visited for a while yesterday. Tyler got a much needed toy chest and got to spend some time with Pawpaw T and Mawmaw Marilyn. Later that day my sister and nephew came into town and we were able to do all of our Christmas festivities with her and Tyler's Mawmaw Mary. We opened presents and let the two boys run wild. They had a blast. Tyler got a really extensive tunnel and tent system from Aunt Michelle (thanks a lot! haha) and they had a ball crawling through and popping up in different places. We spent most of Christmas Eve on the couch watching the traditional Christmas movies and trying to relax as much as possible. We went to Josh's parents for the evening and we all had a really good time. Tyler racked up and and did so good opening his presents. It was the first time he could actually open his own presents! He was such a big boy and stayed up WAY past his bedtime playing in the paper and trying out his new toys. Granny and Grandpaw... and everyone else spoiled him rotten!

Snow!
Hell has officially frozen over... it's snowing in Louisiana! The Saints will probably win the super bowl next! haha We woke up early this morning to find snow everywhere!! We typically just get the nasty slush and ice, but we actually have big snowflakes falling today. It was enough to close down the school and call it an official snow day! Tyler wasn't too thrilled about the snow, but he did get to run around with our neighbors and enjoy his day off!

Thanksgiving 2008
We had a very nice Thanksgiving this year. We had fried turkey, baked turkey, and all the sides you could possibly imagine. We spent the day with Josh's side of the family and all ate way too much. My sister came in on Friday and we went shopping and spent way too much... but Tyler racked up for Christmas. Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving Day. Tyler and Kaden sat at the "kid table" and I don't think either of them ate more than a bite or two. They were too busy enjoying their new found freedom at their own table, and they both think that they are hilarious and were laughing too much to eat. Tyler's pants and shirt got messed up at dinner, so Josh let him run around in his diaper and undershirt and then I'm pretty sure his Granny handed him a turkey leg... he was pretty thrilled about it though and really enjoyed attempting to eat it!
