Easter Morning

My sister, her husband Andy, and their two boys Hunter and Fisher all came down for Easter morning. They came and stayed the night Saturday and we all got up on Easter morning for a SEVEN o'clock Easter service. It was supposed to be outside and we figured that the kids would be fine... but it was moved inside and we didn't find out about the move until we drove up at the planned location. We did make it to the church though and we almost made it through the entire service before Tyler got a little too antsy and he and Josh made an exit to the playground outside. It was a nice service and it was quite impressive that we all managed to get in the pew for 7 o'clock with a 4 year old, 1 year old, and 1 month old! After church the boys hit the dirt pile and then we ate some of Josh's homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The kids went through their Easter baskets and later on Josh's sister came over we all had lunch together. We all had a very nice Easter Sunday!

Dying Easter Eggs

Tyler had a blast dying Easter eggs this year... is was a BIT messy, but I'd say it was a success!

A Tractor!!

It's been a very busy couple of weeks! Tyler got a tractor... we're calling it an Easter present because I can't justify buying it "just because." He was SO excited when we gave it to him. We would always go and let him see it when we were grocery shopping, and every single time we went by he would grin uncontrollably and say "a tractor!!". He was also making our poor neighbors crazy by always jumping on their tractors, golf carts, and lawn mowers. We're hoping that having his own tractor might help him get his riding fix in. He's hasn't quite mastered it yet, but he's well on his way. We also went and visited my Dad, Tyler's Papa T and my sister and her family in Natchez on Good Friday. Josh was working, so we took a day trip just the two of us (and our DVD player!). We went out to eat and took the boys to a park, they ran themselves out and had a ball. Tyler and I went over to his Papa T's and visited with him and Mrs. Marilyn for a while. Tyler also managed to get a lawn mower ride out of the deal. The boy has a tractor problem!
