Playing at Mrs. Jerry's

Tyler always enjoys going to visit Mrs. Jerry house and getting more attention than he could ever know what to do with! This is Wendy playing peek-a-boo with him yesterday, he had a blast!

We were supposed to start veggies first, but I had already let Tyler try applesauce and wanted to stay with that for a few days. As you can tell from the pictures, he really isn't a big fan just yet! Hopefully after a couple more days he will get used to it.

4 Month Check Up!

Tyler had his four month check up today and all is well. Here are his numbers and how he's doing based on the norms.

• 25 1/2 inches long (75th-90th Percentile)
• Head Circumference 17 inches (50th-75th Percentile)
• Weight 18 lbs 11.5 oz!!!! (>97th Percentile... off the charts!)
• Weight for length 90-95th Percentile
  

Obviously he's a chunk! The doctor said that he was ready for solids and to start giving him veggies and then fruits. He asked if he was rolling, grabbing for objects, looking at people when they walk around, and turning towards noises and voices. We told him that he was doing all of the above and discussed a couple other things. Tyler got three shots this time and he cried a for a few minutes, but was laughing by the time we got in the car. The shots are the same ones that he got at his last appointment. He did fine with them last time, so he will hopefully do just as well with this round.On our way to the doctor, check out his spiked hair!
(his cheeks aren't normally that shiny... I put some vaseline on them because he's been a drool monster and his cheeks were a little bit chapped.)

He handled the shots like a big boy, while I sat in the corner and tried not to look!

Giggle box...

Tyler is EXTREMELY ticklish! We tried to catch him on the camera , but it seemed every time we ended the video he would then burst out laughing and squealing! This is the best we could catch, but it's still pretty cute!

So....

It's become apparent to me that I have a picture taking problem. This poor child is going to have an encyclopedia sized photo album collection before he turns a year old! Be sure to let me know when you have seen enough, because until then just expect the flood of pic's to continue! haha

In other baby news, Josh and I had our first night out since Tyler was born! His Granny and Aunt Kristen baby sat with him for a few hours while we went to dinner. I only messaged Kristen once, so I did pretty good! We had a really good time and it was nice to have a little break and enjoy each other.

Tyler is getting so big now that we are going to have to go invest in a new baby tub! He likes to recline still so he can kick at his ducks, BUT he wiggles so much that he slides off the seat and ends up flat of his back (he's still kicking, but it just doesn't seem comfortable!) So I'm off to babies r us today to see what I can find for him. He is also eating oatmeal cereal with banana flakes at night and usually just inhales it. After his four month check up I'm going to try and start some fruits and veggies if the doctor thinks he's ready for it. Other than that, he's just an all around busy boy. He's grabbing at toys, kicking at toys, chewing on EVERYTHING, and just completely full of himself! He can even make his away around the kitchen in his walker, he gets a little misguided at times, but he eventually figures it out!

Tyler at the Zoo!

Tyler took his first trip to the zoo last weekend! He stayed awake the WHOLE time (almost 3 hours) and was really good. He got worn out and hungry around the petting zoo, so we didn't do a whole of petting but he really enjoyed looking at the elephants, otters, fish, snakes, monkeys, bears... and everything else along the way!
