Baptism

The Sunday before Christmas we had Tyler baptized. The service was very nice and they sang the sweetest song to him. It had his name and our names in it and talked about being blessed and loved, I had to quit paying attention to the words about halfway through because I was starting to tear up. He was very good, and as soon as the baptism was over and we sat back down in our seats he passed out and slept for the rest of the service. We had almost three pews filled up with family and friends. Which was really quite an accomplishment considering the service was at 8:15 and neither of our families are big on early mornings! We had everyone over for beignets and coffee after church and visited, it was a wonderful morning!

First Visit to See Santa!

Me, my mom, my friend Jennifer, Tyler, and Rhoby took a trip to the mall today to see Santa Claus! We got free Reindeer ears when we bought pictures, so here is picture of Tyler trying them out. He smiled so sweet for his picture that they wanted to use him as a model and put his picture out to show everyone! We stayed at the mall for a while and did some shopping, ate lunch, got coffee, and strolled around. Both of the boys were on their best behavior and passed out in the car on the way home!

I realize this is not the most flattering picture, but he is smiling SO big it looks like he's about to explode!!

This is Rhoby getting ready for his Santa picture!!

trying something new...

Trying out a new slide show tool... this has ALL the pictures from the trip because I'm not quite sure about how to remove and rearrange on this thing yet so don't feel obligated to look at all 120 pictures!! :-p

See Rock City!

Well we just got home from quite an adventurous weekend.... and I'm the only one awake! The two men in my life are currently sacked out!! We went up to the mountains this weekend with my dad and Mrs. Marilyn, Michelle and Andy, and my MawMaw and Mr. Fred. We left last Thursday night at 10:00 and drove a leisurely 8 hours to DeSoto State Park in Alabama. My birthday was Friday, so on our way there at 3 in the morning Josh wished me happy birthday and let me open my present! I got four cards and some Saints pj pants so I don't feel left out on game days! It was a good wake up activity for both of us at that point! We got there at 6 on Friday morning, fed Tyler and took a nice long nap in my Dads room since we couldn't check into our cabin yet. We had a very nice time and saw some beautiful sights. We went to a couple waterfalls, hiked on the trails around the state park (with Tyler strapped to my chest in his carrier), and went to see Rock City. Tyler seemed to really enjoy everything and was SO good the entire weekend. He was showing off as usual! He got to spend some good quality time with his PaPa T and Grandma Marilyn. His Aunt Michelle helped to spoil him a good bit as well. Tyler has now visited, or at least driven through Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee! He is quite the traveler... he could hardly eat the entire trip because he was so curious and distracted... he was even too busy to get fussy before his naps, he would just zonk out immediately! We left this morning at 4 and made it home by noon, with only one pit stop half way to feed and change Tyler... which I think could possibly be our greatest accomplishment of the whole trip! haha Here are a few pictures, but I have a ton more and think I'm going to try and post a slide show up when I get a chance!

Sleeping Through the Night... practically!

Well, for the past week Tyler has been going to bed around 9:30 and sleeping all the way until at least 4:30. He technically doesn't get up until 7 every morning. When he gets up at 5 or 6 I put him in our bed until 7 when he wakes up to eat his breakfast. This morning he slept until 5:30. He woke up when Josh's alarm for work went off. I was very unhappy with the alarm, but proud of Tyler for sleeping so good. I guess he figured that since his Daddy was getting up for work, he should come and join me my bed so I didn't get lonely! haha We have our tree up and decorated and I need to get some pictures of Tyler and his ornaments that we made. Here are some pictures we took of the poor little guy in one of his Christmas outfits! He wasn't really in the mood for pictures so we couldn't get any good smiles out of him... guess we will have to try again later!
