Thing 1 and Thing 2

Today was the 5th grade party at Tanglewood, where I taught last year. The little boy that I babysit's mom is a teacher there, so I dressed the boys up in Thing 1 and Thing 2 onsies and we went up there for a visit. I got to see a lot of the teachers that I used to work with and they all thought that Tyler and Rhoby were twins... who knew that my moose of a child was 4 months younger than Rhoby?!? hehe He's healthy is all...

The other pictures are from when Tyler and his cousin Kaden were hanging out last Sunday. His other cousin Hunter also came by and they got to play together for a little while. Last but not least Tyler officially has 4 teeth... his other top tooth broke through on Saturday! The picture doesn't really do it justice... but you get the idea!

1st tooth brush and Mothers Day

Tyler got his first tooth brush this past week from "Jenn Jenn". He loves brushing his teeth and doesn't seem to mind the minty fresh toddler tooth paste either. For the most part he just gnaws on the bristles, but we normally can get a few good strokes in there. We had our first Mother's Day on Sunday. Josh and Tyler gave me some cute cards and a really pretty mom/baby necklace. We spent the day around the house and went to Tyler's Granny's that afternoon. Today we met his Mawmaw and Aunt Kristin for a belated Mothers Day lunch. Tyler got lots of new outfits and some books, he loves books... both to look at and chew on! So he had a good time!

Pulling up... kind of...

Tyler can pull himself up to standing from a sitting position. You would have thought that his chair was spring loaded once he realized that he could stand himself up like a big boy. We had to literally put him back down into the chair and 2 seconds later he would pop right back up. We're still working on pulling up from the ground... but we figure that getting up from his chair is a good start!

We have a tooth!

Tyler has finally managed to cut one of his top teeth... we still have another to go, but at least we have one out the way! He's been his usual self... flirting with everyone in sight, smiling all the time, eating his food and our food like he hasn't been fed in weeks, and growing entirely too fast. He's mastered drinking from a straw and feeding himself finger foods. He can pop his baby puffs into his mouth like a pro! These are some pictures from when Tyler made a pretty impressive mess with his baby food and when we were heading to one of Josh's ball games. The last ones are from when me and my mom took Tyler to the new mall today... he was fascinated by the fountains and we let him splash his feet around in the water a little bit. He seemed like he wanted to jump in, but I didn't figure that mall security would appreciate that!

Messy boy!

Heading out to the game!

Playing around at the mall....
