TEETH!!
Typically Tyler sleeps through the night like 8 out of 10 times... so we didn't think much of it on Friday when he woke us up at 3 and just figured it was gas from all those sweet potatoes that he had for lunch! Saturday he had red and swollen gums and was a trooper for our all day shopping at the outlet, but was a handful that afternoon. He gnawed on frozen bananas and when I cut him off from those, his granny put some ice in his feeder and he absolutely LOVED chewing on that. He slept good last night and was very well behaved at church today, but once we got home he started his chewing marathon again. My Nanaw had told me to rub his gums as much as I could to help him to cut his teeth, so I went to massage his gums this morning and they weren't red and swollen anymore... they were sharp!! The top ridges of two teeth are protruding from his bottom gum!! I'm so excited and relieved that they are in and he didn't run any fever, get sick, or have too many of the typical teething night mares... but at the same time I'm a little sad that he's growing up SO fast!! Pretty soon I won't be able to have anymore toothless grins... but I'm sure he will be just as cute with his new teeth! As soon as they are out enough to catch on camera, I'll post some pictures!

Okay Tyler... you need to have a serious chat wit your Cousin Charlotte. tell her what exactly to chew on to make her teeth come out?!!? sound good?? okay, great!
Tyler said to tell Charlotte to get a mesh infant feeder and put frozen fruit in it... or if you don't have any frozen fruit on hand then crushed ice ... or frozen juice chunks. Just as long as it's frozen, it should help! haha Oh and he said you might need to help her get to the store to pick it up, he doesn't think that she should be driving herself just yet! haha
Fingers, hands, chins, and shoulders are also good for gnawing on too... or at least Tyler thinks so! Just ask his Aunt Kristen about the attacks that she had to put up with last Saturday!
thanks tyler, good advice. i think my mommy saw those mesh thingys in the store. OKay gotta go... (((baby hugs))) ~CRS
So she HAS started to bite on my arms, shoulders, and fingers?! and she's REALLY good at pinching too!?! Man i just will be glad for some teeth, so this poor gal can eat a more diverse diet. Although the lack of teeth certainly isn't stopping her from trying to eat a few things... hehe, poor girl, she so wanted the Mexican rice off my plate the other day, but once i gave it to her she couldn't swallow it down. she gets irritated and grabs it out of her mouth and slings it down onto her highchair tray.... hmmm... this type of "freak out" sounds a bit familiar ;) ~Aunt Amanda
